Arriving at Betws-y-Coed
Bryn Afon is just a short flat walk, (less than 10 minutes at a modest pace), from Betws-y-Coed train station. For simplicity, we suggest that you alight whichever bus you are on at the train station. On leaving the station area walk along the pavement across the village green/football field opposite, the tourist information is on your left hand side and you will come to the Royal Oak Hotel and Stables Bar on the other side of the road. Turn right, along the main road through Betws-y-Coed, staying on the side of the road you are on. You will walk pass Anna Davies shop on your left, followed by the Spar shop and then just past the Hawkshead turn right onto the Pont-y-Pair Bridge. Bryn Afon is the first house on your right.
Entering Betws-y-Coed via A5 from the East (i.e. from the direction of Llangollen) Enter Betws-y-Coed by travelling over the Waterloo Bridge. Continue straight along the Holyhead Road (A5) past the Shell petrol station and The Royal Oak Hotel on your left. Look out for the Hawkshead shop on your right and then take a right turn onto the Pont-y-Pair Bridge. Bryn Afon is the first house on your right and the car park is at the rear of the house.
Entering Betws-y-Coed via A5 from the West (e.g. from the direction of Bangor) Enter Betws-y-Coed by travelling past The Swallow Falls Hotel on your right. Continue straight along the Holyhead Road (A5) passing the Dragon Chinese restaurant on your right. Look out for the Pont-y-Pair hotel and inn on your right and the fish and chip shop on your left. Then take the left turning onto the Pont-y-Pair Bridge which is just before the Hawkshead Shop. Bryn Afon is the first house on your right and the car park is at the rear of the house.
Entering Betws-y-Coed via B5106 from the North (e.g. from Llanwrst via B5106) Head on the B5106 in the direction of Betws-y-Coed; it is a road with numerous bends and the river Llugwy runs on the left hand side. Bryn Afon is the last house on the left before reaching the end of the B5106, you will see Cunninghams and the Memorial Hall on your right. Our car park is on the left just after you pass Swn-y-Dwr Guest House.
